About Shelley

Shelley Fischer co-founded FischerMireault, Inc. in 2006. Through this marketing and communications company she develops and manages events, as well as creates communication and marketing plans for businesses from arts and entertainment organizations and small businesses to nonprofits, foundations and tourism groups. She also develops publications such as newsletters, annual reports, and trade magazines.

Prior to founding FischerMireault, she worked in the television industry for over seven years, as Community Relations/Communications Director at WCCO-TV and Marketing Director at KSFY-TV. She has also held leadership roles at nonprofit organizations, serving as Executive Director of Edina’s Chamber of Commerce and in marketing management positions at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts and Children’s Home Society & Family Services.

Shelley’s brand management, communications and marketing experience includes being involved with such successful campaigns as: WCCO-TV’s Hometown Team and Connect 4 Kids, KSFY’s Putting Dakota First, Advertising Federation of Minnesota’s new brand identity and Wayzata Public School District’s WOW brand campaign.

Her community relations background includes partnering with the American Refugee Committee to raise over $1 million for the Kosovo crisis, with Children’s Home Society to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for their programs, with Minnesota FoodShare to stock food shelves across the state. She has also partnered with the Red Cross, Salvation Army, Children’s Cancer Research Fund, Minnesota Park and Recreation and the Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission to generate awareness and inspire participation and giving.


Specialties include: event management, marketing and communication strategies, and cause marketing programs as well as media buying and website development.
